The French Institute of Textiles and Clothing (IFTH) is the Industrial Technical Center (CTI) for textiles and clothing in France.
It is a general interest body with a twofold mission: to provide technical, technological and specific answers to the problems faced by companies; and to nurture the textile and clothing ecosystem in order to promote growth, sustainable development and the relocation of activities within the country, via 145 employees in a dozen research laboratories and technical platforms in France.
The mission is divided into three main areas of expertise: technical consulting and innovation, testing and certification, and knowledge and skills, all of which can be mobilized throughout the value chain of textile and apparel projects.
It is the exclusive representative of the international certification association ŒKO-TEX® in France and manages the National Office of Sectorial Standardization (BNITH), under delegation from AFNOR.
