RDD Textiles is a Portuguese company whose mission is to disrupt the traditional fashion supply chain by offering sustainable textile innovations to international fashion brands. By exploring new eco-friendly textile innovations, the company focuses on creating premium eco-responsible fabrics that combine a sustainable approach with advanced technologies. The company's primary goal is to have a positive impact on the fashion industry through innovation.
Following the guiding principles of co-creation and technology exploration, RDD Textiles research, develops and introduces new generation materials into production chains; bio-manufactured materials and bio-engineering technologies within a reinforced transparency environment.
World leader in this sector, RDD Textiles creates responsible jersey fabrics with bio sourced, regenerative, or recycled materials. Their textile solutions are designed internally in their research laboratory and knitting and dyeing facilities, all located in northern Portugal. Each fabric goes through an eco-conscious development, taking into consideration the environmental and social impacts throughout its life cycle.
RDD Textiles collections offer jersey fabrics in natural fibers (abaca, banana, hemp, kapok, nettle, cotton) including organic and recycled alternatives (360 recycled cotton, Circulose®); as well as next-generation man-made fibers (Lyocell bamboo, Lenzing™ REFIBRA™, SeaCellTM, TENCEL™ Lyocell), polymers (Fulgar's EVO®, ROÏCA V550) or recycled synthetics.
On the dye side, fabrics are colored using innovative and sustainable dye technologies such as Colorifix, Eco.Black, Hemp Black/eco6, miDori®, PPRMINT™, RECYCROM and food dye solutions.
